Malaysia’s famous Petronas Towers on fire
A fire has broken out in the third building of the famous Petronas Towers in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. The incident occurred on Saturday morning (November 1) local time. This information was revealed in a report by Singapore-based media outlet Straits Times.
Kuala Lumpur’s Fire and Rescue Department director Hassan As’ari Omar said that firefighting equipment and firefighting teams were quickly dispatched to the scene and work is underway to bring the fire under control. It is believed that the fire broke out in a restaurant on the top floor of the building.
Immediately after the incident, photos and videos of fire and smoke from the building spread on social media, causing a huge sensation. Authorities said that no casualties have been reported in the incident so far. However, an investigation has been launched to assess the extent of the damage and determine the exact cause of the fire.
