Low pressure at sea, warning number 3 at seaports
The low pressure formed in the west-central Bay of Bengal and the adjacent northwest Bay of Bengal off the coast of north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha is located in the same area. Due to its impact, the Meteorological Office has asked to raise warning signal number 3 at four sea ports. This information was given in a warning issued by the Meteorological Office today, Thursday (August 14). It said that due to this, there is an excess of air pressure variation in the north Bay of Bengal. Gusty or squally winds may blow over the north Bay of Bengal, coastal areas and sea ports of Bangladesh. The sea ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to raise local warning signal number 3. Fishing boats and trawlers in the north Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice.
