Liverpool returned with a draw in Arsenal’s field

Liverpool would have topped Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League if they had beaten Arsenal. However, Arne Slott’s disciples should be happy with the way the Allreds came back with a draw despite falling behind twice.

The Liverpool-Arsenal match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night was a 2-2 draw. English star Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead in the ninth minute of the match. Virgil von Dijk equalized Liverpool after 9 minutes. The Dutch star scored a header from Trent Trent Alexander-Arnold’s set pitch.

Arsenal went ahead again in the 43rd minute of the match. Michael Merino headed home a great free-kick from Declan Rice. The first half ended at this interval. Liverpool were desperate to get back into the match in the second half. But they have to wait till 81 minutes to equalize. Darwin Nunez received the ball in Arsenal’s box from Alexander-Arnold’s pass. When he passed the ball to the left side, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored a goal. In the end, the match ended in this tie.

After this match, Liverpool’s points are 22 after 9 matches. They are second in the points table. Four-time champion Manchester City is on top of all with 1 point more than this. Arsenal, who are third, have 18 points.

Meanwhile, Manchester United lost again in the Premier League. Erik ten Haag’s side lost 2-1 to West Ham. The Red Devils are at number 14 in the points table after losing 4 matches in 9 matches. Chelsea beat Newcastle 2-1 in the other match. Tottenham Hotspur lost 1-0 against Crystal Palace.
