Lifetime expulsion of Chhatra Dal leader who demanded Shaksu elections
The Chhatra Dal central parliament has expelled Shahjalal Science and Technology University Chhatra Dal’s independent general secretary (GS) candidate and joint general secretary Md. Junayd Hasan, who participated in the movement with students in the Shaksu elections.
This information was given in a press release signed by Chhatra Dal’s office secretary Jahangir Alam on Monday (January 19) night.
The release said that according to the decision of the central parliament of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal, Shaksu senior Chhatra Dal joint general secretary Md. Junayd Hasan has been expelled for life from the organizational post based on specific allegations of violation of organizational discipline.
The release also said that Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir approved this decision today. He has ordered leaders and activists of all levels of Chhatra Dal not to have any organizational relationship with them.
It is known that the central leaders of the Chhatra Dal have been protesting for two days by surrounding the Election Commission in Dhaka demanding the cancellation of the Shaksu elections. But Junaid Hasan is active in the Shabipravi demanding Shaksu.
On the afternoon of January 17, he announced a 14-point manifesto for the students. Where he told reporters, the Student Parliament is an independent platform, not a political platform. From there, I am participating in the elections independently, free from party influence, to work for the students.
In response to the question whether he will be in the field of the elections, he said, I am not afraid of any party pressure. I will be in the field to work for the students until the end of the elections. I hope the students will evaluate it correctly.
