Lawyer Saiful’s killers will be severely punished: Nahid Islam.
Nahid Islam, the interim government’s information and broadcasting advisor, has warned that those involved in the murder of Advocate Saiful Islam in Chittagong will be severely punished.
He gave this warning in a status posted around 11 pm today, Tuesday. He said, “The communal terrorists who killed Advocate Saiful Islam Alif will definitely be severely punished.
The interim government has sincerely considered the demands of the minority community from the beginning. But Chinmoy Krishna Das was trying to create communal division by making false and provocative statements in various meetings.”
Nahid said, “Despite the sedition case, Chinmoy Krishna was holding various meetings without taking any legal action. Basically, the main purpose of such activities was to attract the attention of the world media and present Bangladesh and the July coup in a negative light. The Indian media has always been spreading such false propaganda.
He further said, “The way a lawyer was hacked to death in the Chittagong court today by Chinmoy Krishna’s supporters is unprecedented. Chinmoy Krishna was working with a plan to destroy harmony in the country and has created such a terrorist support group for communal purposes.”
The information advisor said, “The fascist Awami League has always wanted to use the minority community to do communal politics. Now the Indian media is also trying to create a communal situation by spreading false propaganda. The minority Hindu community is a citizen of Bangladesh.
We will ensure their safety. But the Bangladesh government will ensure the maximum justice through the legal process for the Hindutva terrorists who are sabotaging the country. I appeal to everyone to be patient and calm. The terrorists will be arrested soon.”
