Labor Advisor: Employers, not government, will pay workers’ salaries

Labor and Employment Advisor Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain said that the government will not pay workers’ salaries, but employers should pay them.
He said this at a seminar on sustainable reforms in the labor sector on Wednesday (October 8) morning.
The advisor said that the government is working on reforms in the labor sector. The most important work is to amend the labor law.
He also said that the reform work is almost at its final stage and if the reforms are implemented, there will be a huge change in the labor sector. The government is aware of the rights of workers. However, he also assured that no worker will be left without a salary.
