Kim calls soldiers fighting for Russia ‘heroes’
Supreme leader Kim Jong Un has called North Korean soldiers who participated in the war against Ukraine for Russia ‘heroes’. The news was broadcast on the country’s state television KCNA on Thursday (August 21). The media reported that Kim met with North Korean military officers. He thanked the military officers serving abroad. Kim praised the way North Korean soldiers are leading various combat units in Kursk, Russia. Earlier, he paid tribute to North Korean soldiers who died in the war in Ukraine. State honors were given to the dead soldiers. More than 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been sent to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine. There have also been rumors of plans to send another convoy.
