Killing of Swechchhasebak Dal leader in Dhaka an isolated incident: Salahuddin Ahmed
BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed believes that the killing of the Swechchhasebak Dal leader in the capital is an isolated incident. He expressed concern that the fallen fascist forces are deteriorating the law and order situation to disrupt the country’s democratic journey. He expressed this concern in response to questions from journalists at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka on Thursday (January 8).
Incidentally, on Wednesday night, terrorists shot dead Azizur Rahman Musabbir, former general secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North Swechchhasebak Dal. Another person named Abu Sufian Bepari Masud, who was with Musabbir at the time, was also shot.
Salahuddin Ahmed believes that despite many isolated incidents recently, this will not have any impact on the elections. All political parties are committed to the elections. If anyone has any complaints about the level playing field of the elections, they can inform the EC.
Regarding Tarique Rahman’s district visit, the acting chairman of BNP said, Tarique Rahman will visit North Bengal to pay tribute to the martyrs of the coup. BNP is careful about adhering to the election code of conduct. The BNP leader also said that as a large political party, it was not possible to give final nominations to many eligible candidates. Organizational action has been taken against those who have become rebel candidates.
