‘Killer Babu’ lost his life in a mob lynching in the capital

A young man named Md. Toufiqul Islam alias Killer Babu (26) died in a mob lynching during a drunken party in the Shahidnagar Lohar Bridge area of Lalbagh in the capital at midnight. He was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 8:15 am on Sunday (August 17) and was declared dead by the doctors. Locals said that on Saturday at around 3:30 am on Saturday, Toufiqul was beaten up by an agitated mob while he was drunk and drunk in the Shahidnagar Lohar Bridge area of Lalbagh and informed the Azimpur Army Camp. Later, he was rescued and brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. The body has been kept at the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The matter has been reported to Lalbagh Police Station.
