Khaleda Zia’s illness is due to Hasina: Rizvi
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the illness of party chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is due to Sheikh Hasina. He said this at a prayer meeting for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia organized by the Nationalist Farmers’ Party in Nayapaltan in the capital today (December 3).
Rizvi said, everyone will have love for someone who did not compromise with their land, country, people, independence and sovereignty. I can see the manifestation of that love. Sometimes unfair demands have been made, Begum Zia has accepted it in the interest of the country, he said, the government was formed in February 1996 and established a caretaker government so that no one was killed.
Referring to those who brought the caretaker government to power through genocide and then abolished it, the BNP senior joint secretary general said that Sheikh Hasina has run the country on her own will without trusting the people. However, in 1995-96, she raised the demand for a caretaker government by burning buses and trucks and killing people. Begum Zia’s illness is because of that Hasina. Rizvi urged the interim government not to do anything that causes suffering to the people and “work in the public interest.”
