July Shaheed Smriti Foundation handed over a donation check to those injured in the movement
Adviser Nahid Islam said financial donations are being given to those affected by the movement from Shaheed Smriti Foundation.
Adviser Nahid Islam said this while handing over the donation check from Julie Shaheed Smriti Foundation to the injured students in the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday.
He also said that as per the advice of the concerned doctor, necessary measures will be taken for the treatment of the injured abroad and we will pay the expenses of those who have received treatment in different places before coming to Dhaka Medical.
Referring to the case against the journalists, the adviser said, ‘those who were directly associated with the fascist government, were instigators and supported the genocide will be brought to justice. Apart from this, a committee has been formed in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to look into the matter if a case is filed against someone unfairly. If any journalist or his family feels that they are suffering due to the case, we will help them if they contact us.
Those who were martyred and injured in the mass awakening are the heroes of the country. Acknowledging the sacrifices of the leaders and activists of various parties who gave life to the movement. We request that we do not divide the martyrs and the injured with any party or banner. The adviser also commented that they should not be used for their own political interests.
Meanwhile, cases are being filed against the agitators at various places. Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in response to the questions of the journalists said that instructions will be issued soon from the Ministry of Home Affairs so that no action is taken against the agitators anywhere.
The advisor also commented that no matter how powerful the policemen involved in the killing of the agitators, they will not be exempted.
On this day, the secretary of the foundation, Mir Mahbubur Rahman, presented the account of the money given to the injured by the foundation in front of the journalists.
Today a total of one hundred and twenty two people have been given one lakh taka and one crore twenty two lakh sixty four thousand four hundred taka each. Among them, 23 out of 30 people undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College have been given a check of Tk 1 lakh. 33 people under treatment at National Institute of Ophthalmology and 59 people at National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (Cripple Hospital) were funded.
It is to be noted that till now 176 injured people have been given a donation of 1 crore seventy one lakh 42 thousand fifty taka by July Shaheed Smriti Foundation.
Meanwhile, the injured Jamal Hussain requested the adviser to arrange monthly allowance for the elderly and employment for the youth.
