‘Jehanabad Express’ from Khulna to Dhaka via Padma Bridge.
For the first time, ‘Jehanabad Express’ train has departed for Dhaka from Khulna on the new route via Padma Bridge. The train, which is starting its journey from Khulna Rail Station for the first time, set off at 6 am on Tuesday.
According to the railway schedule, it will arrive in Dhaka at 9:45 am. The Jehanabad Express, therefore, will reach Dhaka from Khulna in four and a quarter hours.
The train will leave Dhaka again at 8 pm. It will reach Khulna at 11:40 pm.
Khulna Railway Station Master Md. Ashiq Ahmed said, ‘Jehanabad train left Khulna Railway Station for Dhaka for the first time today morning at 6 am. It is supposed to reach Dhaka at 9:45 am. On the first day, 553 passengers left Khulna for Dhaka. This train has 768 seats. This train has 11 passenger coaches and a luggage van. 69 percent of the capacity of the passengers has started from Khulna. Besides, passengers will get on from the other stations, too. The train that goes from Nawapara, Singia, Narail, Kashiani, and Padma Bridge to Dhaka leaves Khulna for Dhaka every day at 6 am and will leave Dhaka at about 8 pm.
On the other hand, Ruposhi Bangla Express will leave Dhaka at 10:45 am. It is scheduled to reach Benapole in Jessore at 2:30 pm. The train leaving Jessore at 3:30 pm will return. And it is scheduled to reach Dhaka at 7:10 pm.
