Jatiya Party has turned Awami League into fascism: Akhtar

We have to ensure that no one from Awami League can participate in the upcoming elections. Jatiya Party (JPA) means Awami League. Participating in the JPA vote means participating in Awami League. Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) member secretary Akhtar Hossain made this comment.
He said this at the foundation anniversary program of the Gana Adhikar Parishad at the Diploma Engineers Institute today (October 26). He said that the Jatiya Party has turned Awami League into fascism. The JPA leaders should be arrested and brought under the law. He also said that the July Charter should be fully implemented. If the legal basis of the July Charter is not given to anyone’s party interests, then they should be talked to.
Akhtar Hossain said, Gana Adhikar Parishad, Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, we were all going through a difficult time, many of them are my comrades here, with whom I have served jail time together, there are many comrades with whom I have marched on the streets together. We raised slogans. After the attack on me, many of those who have come here today from different parts of the country participated in that procession. I feel those turbulent days with the People’s Rights Council. I will remember those days as an important chapter in my life for the rest of my life. The NCP leader said, Bangladesh is going through a transitional period at this time. There will be changes in the state structure of Bangladesh. A democratic system will be created, there will be accountability, there will be rule of law, there will be a balance of power in Bangladesh. Keeping these things in mind, we have come together in the political parties of the National Unity Commission. We have agreed on many fundamental changes. We have agreed on the implementation of the July Charter. Since then, we have not been able to secure that place.
