Today, Thursday (September 25), a high-level delegation including Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Zhou Pingjian, paid a courtesy call on the party’s Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Moghbazar in the capital. The party’s Secretary General, Professor Mia Golam Parwar, made these remarks at a briefing after the meeting.
He said that Bangladesh and China want to develop close and neighborly relations. Discussions were held on how to further deepen the relationship between the two countries. In the discussion, the Jamaat Ameer highlighted the oppression and repression of the previous government. A year after the coup, the Awami League’s conspiracy against the country continues. He expressed his firm determination to confront that conspiracy and take the country forward. He also said that if given the opportunity to rule the country at this time, Jamaat will not act as a ruler, but as a servant.
Mia Ghulam Parwar also said that today, the work that China is doing to ensure global security was discussed and the elections were also discussed. They were informed about the preparations of our party. Jamaat is an election-oriented party, so they are ready to participate in the elections, he further mentioned.
On the other hand, Zhou Pingjian said that China-Bangladesh diplomatic relations are long-standing. Work is underway to further advance the relations between the people of the two countries. At this time, he expressed the hope that the relations with all levels of people in Bangladesh will be stronger and deeper.
