Jamaat wants fair environment, not postponement of national elections: Golam Parwar
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said that the party does not want to postpone the national elections, but wants a fair environment for the elections. He said this after visiting the Suhrawardy Udyan, the venue for the national rally to be held on July 19, at around 12 noon on Monday (July 7). At the time, he also said that the people are not confident about the government’s role in conducting a fair election. Calling on people from all classes and professions of the country to participate in the upcoming national rally, Golam Parwar said that the rally is being organized to present the public demands to create a level playing field before the next national election, hold the election through PR method, and make necessary reforms and justice visible before the government.
