Jamaat orders to ban motorcycle processions
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has instructed party candidates to refrain from holding motorcycle processions ahead of the national elections. The directive given by the Jamaat Ameer was sent to all branches of the country on Monday (November 24).
The directive states that motorcycle rallies and motor processions are being held in various districts or metropolitan constituencies ahead of the upcoming national elections. In the wake of several accidents and injuries in these programs, the respected Ameer of Jamaat has banned motorcycle rallies and processions in all districts or metropolitan constituencies from now on.
Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Abdul Halim confirmed this information to the media. He said that instructions have been given to refrain from holding motorcycle processions during the election campaign due to recent accidents.
