Jamaat Amir condoles the loss of lives in training plane crash
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has called for all-out cooperation from the leaders and activists of the organization in the event of a Bangladesh Air Force training plane crash in Uttara, the capital. He made this call in a statement on Monday (July 21). In the statement, the Jamaat Amir said, “On Monday, July 21, at around 1:00 pm, a training plane of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into the Mile Stone School and College building in the Diyabari area of Uttara, the capital, Dhaka, and caught fire. In this, the pilot Flight Lieutenant Tauqir and many students were martyred (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). More than a hundred students have been burned and seriously injured in the incident. I am deeply saddened by this tragic accident.” He also said, “I am calling on all levels of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the local people to participate in the rescue operation and provide all-out support in the treatment of the injured.” I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and pray to the Almighty to accept them as martyrs. In the statement, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and the injured. He said, “I also wish the full recovery of all the injured and urge the concerned authorities to ensure necessary treatment and assistance.”
