Jamaat Ameer leaves hospital

Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is returning home after undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital after suddenly falling ill while addressing a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan. He left the hospital on foot around 9 pm on Saturday (July 19). At this time, the Ameer said, “I could not fully express my thoughts for the nation by the will of God. I thank those who expressed concern about my illness. May the country not be harmed in any way through me.” He said, “Fascism has departed from the country. Corruption must be expelled through struggle. This is necessary for all parties. Nothing will be possible properly unless the country is free from corruption.” Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Naib-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said that the Ameer is now physically healthy. It is hoped that he will be able to return home after resting for a while. Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and party standing committee member Dr. Moin Khan went to the hospital to see the Jamaat Ameer. Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the interim government’s chief advisor, also went to the hospital to see him.
