88 more people were killed in the continuing brutal Israeli attack on the Palestinian enclave of Gaza amidst ceasefire talks. With this, the deaths in the continuing attack since October 2023 have risen to 45,805, the territory’s Health Ministry said.
The ministry, in a statement, said at least 109,064 others have been injured in the relentless attack. This was reported by the Anadolu news agency in a report yesterday, Sunday.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces attacked the Rafah, Nablus, and Deir al-Balah areas on Sunday, Al Jazeera reported. In Nablus, they closed shops and established military checkpoints.
The report, quoting the Health Ministry, said 88 people were killed and 208 others injured in continued aggression by Israeli forces over the past 24 hours, noting that many people are still under the rubble and in streets because rescuers cannot reach them.
The Palestinian health authorities believe that more than 10,000 people are still missing under the rubble of destroyed houses across the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced meanwhile that a round of talks with Hamas has begun on the return of prisoners in Doha, Qatar.
Hamas confirmed to Reuters that it had approved an Israeli-proposed list of 34 prisoners – possible exchange chips – but said that so far nothing on this topic had moved along.
