Israeli attack on Gaza City, 81 people killed
Israel has launched a planned ground operation to capture Gaza City. Another 81 Palestinians lost their lives in a horrific attack across the valley on Wednesday (August 20). The Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Thursday (August 21). At least 25 people, including children, were killed in an attack on the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City. Israeli infantry troops carried out indiscriminate attacks in the areas of Zaytoun and Jabalia. Two brigades in Zaytoun and one in Jabalia are conducting the ground operation. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said this is the initial stage of the planned mission. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the plan on Tuesday (August 19). He said that 60,000 reserve troops will be deployed in early September to capture Gaza City. The Palestinians have been instructed to withdraw from the area again.
