Israeli airstrikes kill 4 Palestinians in Gaza, body of prisoner recovered
Despite the ceasefire, Israeli forces have not stopped killing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The occupation forces killed at least four people in a new attack on Monday (November 24). Several others were injured in the attack. Meanwhile, Palestinian armed groups claimed to have recovered the body of another prisoner from the war-torn region.
According to Al Jazeera, a Palestinian man was among those killed in a drone strike on the southern town of Bani Suwayla yesterday. The area is outside the Israeli-controlled “yellow line”. Meanwhile, the Gaza Civil Defense said that an explosive device dropped by Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child in northern Gaza City. Several other children were injured, some of them seriously.
Al Jazeera’s Tariq Abu Azum reported from Gaza City that Israeli attacks continued throughout the day; shelling, airstrikes and helicopter gunships were reported from both the north and south. In Beit Lahia, Israeli shelling hit areas outside the Yellow Line. In the south, tanks and helicopter gunships hit areas northeast of Rafah and on the outskirts of Khan Yunis. “There are also heavy attacks beyond the Yellow Line. They are destroying the eastern part of Gaza City,” Abu Azum said. He added that efforts are underway to create buffer zones by destroying residential areas in Gaza. They are making these areas completely uninhabitable and making it more difficult for displaced families to return.
