Israel will not attack Qatar again: Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he will not order any more attacks on Qatar, US President Donald Trump said. Qatar is one of the mediators in the ongoing war between Hamas, the group that controls the Gaza Strip, and Israeli forces. Anadolu Agency reported. In a meeting with reporters in the Oval Office on Monday (September 15), Trump said that Netanyahu will not order any more attacks on Qatar. Qatar is a very good ally of ours. Many do not know this, but he (Netanyahu) will never order an attack on Qatar in the future. From now on, he will work together with Qatar. On September 8, the Israeli Air Force attacked an apartment building in Doha, targeting top Hamas leaders who had taken refuge in Qatar. The main target of the attack was the current top Hamas executive Khalil al-Haya and other senior leaders of the group. The operation, which lasted only 15 minutes, killed a total of six people in Doha, including five Hamas members, but fortunately Khalil al-Haya and members of the Hamas high command survived. Almost all countries in the world condemned Israel for this incident. Meanwhile, in a briefing on September 9, hours after the attack, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt claimed that Qatar had been warned in advance about a possible Israeli attack. Leavitt said in the briefing, “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was informed in advance about the attack.”
