Israel seizes last Gaza flotilla

A new flotilla attempting to break the blockade of Gaza has failed to achieve its goal. The flotilla’s ships and passengers have been seized and are being taken to an Israeli port.
The Times of Israel reported this in a report on Wednesday (October 8).
Israeli Foreign Minister Ezekiel A. (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Another failed attempt to break the legal naval blockade and enter the war zone has failed. The ships and passengers have been transferred to an Israeli port. All passengers are safe and sound. The passengers will be held for immediate departure.”
The incident comes a week after the navy seized more than 40 ships.
The flotilla, known as the Sumud Flotilla, was the largest operation to challenge the Gaza blockade to date. Israel has deported most of the 479 personnel who took part in the operation. Among them was Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
