Israel attacks Iranian oil facilities

Israel has attacked several oil facilities, including Tehran and the neighboring city of Karaj. This is the first time Israel has targeted Iranian energy infrastructure since the start of the war. The attack took place on Saturday night (March 7) local time.
The Iranian Oil Ministry said in a statement that the attacks targeted multiple oil depots in Tehran and Alborz province.
The Israeli military also acknowledged the attacks and claimed that the fuel storage centers and complexes were used by the Iranian military. The oil depot that was attacked in the Shahr-e-Re district of southern Tehran is located right next to the city’s main oil refinery.
