On October 7 last year, Hamas, the armed organization of the Palestinian liberation movement, fired thousands of rockets at Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip. 1,400 people were killed in Israel. After years of oppression in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli forces intensified. More than 40,000 Palestinians have lost their lives and more than 90,000 have been injured in the military operation since that day. Most of the casualties were civilians.
