Israel has again carried out airstrikes on a mosques in Gaza

Israeli forces attacked a central mosque in the besieged Gaza Strip. At least 18 people were killed and several others were injured.

Al Jazeera reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the mosque, which is near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Bala. Displaced people took shelter in this central mosque.

With this, since October 2023, the number of people killed in the Israeli attack in Gaza has increased to 41 thousand 827 people. And 96 thousand 910 people were injured.

Israel has attacked mosques many times before. Among them, the country attacked the Fatima al-Zahra mosque in northern Gaza on May 23. At least 16 people including 10 children were killed. At that time, many women with children took shelter in that mosque to escape the Israeli attack.

It should be noted that Israel launched an attack on Gaza in response to Hamas’s unprecedented attack on southern Israel on October 7 last year. Hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians have moved to Khan Yunis since the start of Israel’s military operation in the besieged Palestinian territory.

After more than 11 months of attacks, many are missing buried under the rubble of various buildings. They are presumed dead.

Meanwhile, a Hamas military officer along with his wife and two daughters were killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting the Beddabi camp in northern Lebanon.

Israel’s media reported that the army is preparing for a major operation targeting Iran, Lebanon and Gaza amid the ongoing attacks.
