Iran threatens to attack Israeli nuclear facilities
Iran has threatened to attack Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility if it tries to change the government. The semi-official Iranian Students News Agency reported this on Wednesday (March 4).
The agency quoted a senior Iranian military official as saying that Tehran would respond firmly and decisively to any foreign intervention or conspiracy aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government.
He specifically mentioned Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor and said that Iran has the ability to attack important facilities if war is imposed.
Pledge to protect sovereignty
The statement said that Iran is ready to go to the highest level if necessary to protect the country’s sovereignty and political system. Officials said that such a response would be made in order to prevent foreign powers from interfering in the country’s internal affairs.
The official said, “This is a clear warning – any attempt at regime change will face a severe and planned retaliation.”
Attacks in Iran intensify
Meanwhile, US and Israeli attacks on Iran reportedly intensified overnight. The Israeli military claimed that they targeted various installations in Tehran, including military infrastructure and a security command center.
In addition, attacks were also reported in the city of Kermanshah. In addition, residential areas in the cities of Tabriz and Yazd were bombed. According to officials, the death toll in the five-day attack has exceeded 1,045.
