Iran claims responsibility for attack on US troops stationed on Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island

A military spokesman claimed that Iran had attacked US troops stationed on Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island. The British news agency Reuters reported this information in a report on Monday (April 6).
In a video message broadcast on state media today, Ibrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesman for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said that the attack was carried out using drones targeting satellite equipment and ammunition of US forces on the island.
He claimed that after repeated attacks, US troops were evacuated from the Arifjan base in Kuwait to Bubiyan Island. Bubiyan is Kuwait’s largest coastal island, which is located in the northwestern part of the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile, at least six people were injured when debris fell on a residential area in northern Kuwait in the Iranian attack.
