Internet service may be interrupted for 4 consecutive hours

Bandwidth services of all circuits internet connected to Kuakata station in Patuakhali will be shut down for four hours for maintenance work.

Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC) informed this information in a circular on Friday. BSCPLC authorities sincerely apologize for the temporary inconvenience to the customers.

According to the press release, the country’s second submarine cable system consortium established in Kuakata plans to install submarine cable lighting filters for a total of four hours from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Bandwidth services of all circuits connected to Kuakata station through submarine cable will be suspended during this time. However, at the same time the submarine cable circuits from Cox’s Bazar station will continue to operate as usual. Customers may experience temporary Internet slowdowns or interruptions in Internet service while maintenance work is in progress.
