Inflation has come down in the country
Inflation rate has decreased in September compared to August in the country.
In August this rate was 10.49 percent, in September it stood at 9.92 percent. At the same time, both food and non-food inflation declined.
This is known from the updated information of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
According to the latest BBS data, the country’s food price inflation has come down to 10.40 percent in September. In August this rate was 11.36 percent. Non-food inflation eased to 9.50 percent in September; Which was 9.74 percent in August.
In both urban and rural areas, the general point-to-point inflation rate declined last month. Rural inflation was 10.15 percent on a point-to-point basis in September; Which was 10.95 percent in August. And in September, the inflation rate in urban areas was 9.83 percent, which was 10.01 percent in August.
The wage rate index also rose in September. This rate was 7.96 percent in August, which increased to 8.01 percent in September.
