Indian national arrested with drugs and contraband

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested an Indian national with drugs Winsirex syrup and contraband at the Benapole border in Jessore. He was arrested from the Benapole Integrated Checkpost (ICP) border area on Tuesday (December 2) morning. Lieutenant Colonel Saifullah Siddiqui, commander of the 49th BGB Battalion in Jessore, confirmed the matter.
The arrested Abu Ibrahim (23) is a resident of Khidirpur Iqbalpur area of ​​Kolkata. Colonel Saifullah Siddiqui said that after an Indian passport holder entered Bangladesh through the Benapole International Checkpost on Monday night, the BGB arrested him from the ICP border area.
During the search of his travel bag, drugs Winsirex syrup, Indian saree-three-piece, shawl-chadar, watch, pesticides and cosmetics were seized. The market value of the seized Indian goods is about 1 million taka. A case has been filed against the detained Indian national and he has been handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. The BGB official said that their operation against smugglers in the border area will continue.
