Indian Foreign Minister in Dhaka to pay tribute to Begum Khaleda Zia

Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has arrived in Dhaka to pay his last respects to former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. He arrived in Dhaka on a special Indian Air Force plane at around 11:30 am on Wednesday (December 31). Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar was welcomed by Foreign Ministry Secretary (Intergovernmental Organizations and Consular Affairs) M Farhad Hossain when he arrived at the Bashar Air Force Base.
The funeral of the undisputed BNP leader will be held at Manik Mia Avenue at 2 pm yesterday. Later, he will be buried next to the tomb of martyred President Ziaur Rahman at 3:30 pm. Three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia breathed her last at 6 am on Tuesday (December 30) while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
