If someone throws stones, we will welcome them with flowers: Hasnat
NCP chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah said, if someone throws stones at us, we will welcome them with flowers. If someone abuses us, we will welcome them. If someone criticizes us, we will accept it with a smile. The rest is in the hands of Allah. You will not go to division. He said these things at the NCP’s march and public relations program in different areas of Bhani and Sultanpur unions of Debidwar upazila of Comilla on Tuesday (December 2) afternoon.
Hasnat Abdullah said, if someone shoots, we will be shot, but we will not run away leaving our workers behind. We have seen who was where for the last 17 years, leaving workers behind on the streets. He said, I have heard from people – I will get 500 votes! If a new party of 9 months gets 500 votes without the identity of my parents and grandparents, it is also a big deal. I am the son of hardworking people. My family is not big, I do not have money, I did not study abroad; I have come from among you.
The NCP leader said, “Recognize those who work in various ways to take pictures during elections. Observe their movements. Keep a close eye on their past and present activities. You will see everything with your own eyes.” Referring to the political reality of the last 17 years, he said, “We have seen who was on the streets in the anti-fascist movement. We have also seen many BNP leaders and activists on the streets. Those who were not on the field in the movement are now talking big words. Awami League tags people.”
On this day, he went to the house of July martyr Qadir Hossain Sohag and inquired about his mother and relatives. As part of the program, mass mobilization and road meetings were held in Kharaghar, Suryapur, Saharpar, Fultali, Nuagaon, Saitala Bazar, Barat Stand, Dani, Khiraikandi, Bakrikandi, Kurchap, Atapur and Surpur areas.
