The leaders and activists of the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) were attacked on their way from Gopalganj to Madaripur. In this situation, Sarjis Alam, the party’s chief organizer for the northern region, has announced that they will return after building a grave for Mujibabad. On Wednesday (July 16), an attack occurred at the NCP’s Gopalganj rally. Later, the convoy was attacked again on the way from Gopalganj to Madaripur. Later, Sarjis wrote in a Facebook post, ‘The thugs of the murderer Hasina have attacked us in Gopalganj. The police are standing by and watching the drama, retreating. If we return alive from here, then I will return after building a grave for Mujibabad, or I will not return.’ He called on people from all over Bangladesh to rush to Gopalganj. The conscientious students and people of Gopalganj should wake up. Today is the last day to build a grave for brokers.’ The leaders and activists of the banned organization Chhatra League attacked the convoy of the National Citizens Party (NCP) on its way from Gopalganj to Madaripur. The attack took place around 3 pm on the way back to Madaripur after the July march in Gopalganj. However, no casualties have been reported so far. The police and the army are trying to bring the situation under control.
