I want to step down from my duties: DU VC

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan has suddenly called a press conference. This press conference, announced today (February 10) at 3 pm, has been called ‘special’ in the notification sent by the Public Relations Department. In that press conference, he indicated that he would announce his resignation.
He said, ‘I want to step down from my duties. However, at the moment, a post may remain vacant in the university, if that happens, then if the (elected) government wants, I will continue to perform my duties for a few more days.’
Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan has taken charge in a special situation, he does not consider it a regular job. The students gave him this responsibility out of love, the DU VC said. Earlier, after the July Uprising, he took charge as the 30th Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University on August 27, 2024.
