Husband who killed wife and fled finally caught
RAB has arrested Mehedi Hasan, who fled after killing his wife in front of their children in Sakhipur, Tangail. The killer Mehedi Hasan was arrested from Konabari area of Gazipur around 8:30 pm on Sunday (August 4). The Tangail RAB commander confirmed the matter through a press briefing around 10:30 pm. Earlier, Mehedi Hasan, the husband, killed his wife Kakuli Akhter with a knife and fled in the Zelkhana More area of Sakhipur Municipality in Tangail on Sunday morning. The accused husband Mehedi Hasan is the son of Haider Ali of Ichadighi village of Gazaria Union of the upazila. He was living in a rented house in the Zelkhana More area of the municipality with his wife and children. The cousin of the deceased filed a case with Sakhipur Police Station. RAB-14’s CPC-3 Company Commander Kawsar Badhan said that Mehedi fled the area after killing his wife. Later, he hid in Konabari area of Gazipur. He was arrested after conducting a raid in Konabari area with the help of information technology. He also said that the arrested Mehedi was handed over to Sakhipur police station at night.
