Husband arrested for killing wife in Chapainawabganj

Police have arrested a husband in Shibganj, Chapainawabganj, on charges of brutally killing his wife. The incident took place on Tuesday (March 10) night in Raninagar Khatpara village of Ward No. 4 of Manaksha Union of the upazila. The deceased woman’s name is Mosha Nasima Begum (36). She is the wife of Mizanur Rahman alias Veju of the same village.
Locals said that due to a family dispute, husband Mizanur Rahman killed his wife Nasima Begum and hid her inside the toilet tank of the house. Later, he fled the area to cover up the incident. Later, when the family members came to know about the matter, they informed the police. On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body.
Shibganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter and said that Mizanur Rahman killed his wife and fled due to a family dispute. He was later arrested. The body has been recovered and sent to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.
