Husband and wife arrested with 900 pieces of Yaba
Dhaka District Detective Branch (DB) has arrested a couple with 900 pieces of Yaba from the municipality area in a special drive in Savar.
They were arrested from the Baktapur three-way intersection area of Ward No. 1 of the municipality today, Wednesday (October 8).
The arrested are Monir Khan (38), son of the late Habi Khan of Lakshipur area of Sadar police station in Gopalganj district, and his wife Shyamoli Khatun (32).
Dhaka District DB North Officer-in-Charge Jalal Uddin said that the couple was arrested in a drive in Baktapur area based on information received from secret sources. During this, 900 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered from them.
A regular case has been filed against the arrested at Savar Model Police Station.
