HSC and equivalent exam results published, pass rate 58.83 percent

The results of the HSC and equivalent exams have been published today. This time the average pass rate is 58.83 percent. 69,097 people got GPA 5. And the most failed in English. The results were published on the websites of the country’s education boards today, Thursday (October 16) at 10 am. Along with this, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee presented the detailed results at Bakshibazar in the capital.
Among all the boards in the country (pass rate) – 64.62 percent in Dhaka Board, 59.40 percent in Rajshahi Board, 52.57 percent in Chittagong Board, 57.49 percent in Dinajpur Board, 51.54 percent in Mymensingh Board, 50.20 percent in Jessore Board, 51.86 percent in Sylhet Board, 48.86 percent in Comilla Board and 62.57 percent in Barisal Board.
Earlier, in 2024, the average pass rate was 77.78 percent, which has decreased by about 19 percent this time. And GPA five has decreased by about 78 thousand.
On the other hand, this time too, girls are ahead in the pass rate. 59 thousand 232 more girls have passed than boys. And 4 thousand 991 more have got GPA five.
It is noteworthy that this time the pass rate is also the lowest after 2005. Since then, the pass rate has increased. This year, a total of 12 lakh 51 thousand 111 students under the 11 education boards of the country have filled the forms for HSC and equivalent examinations. Out of which 6 lakh 18 thousand 15 are boys and 6 lakh 33 thousand 96 are girls. The exams were held in a total of 2 thousand 797 centers across the country. However, about 27 thousand students did not participate in the exams. And this time too, the results have been prepared on the ‘actual evaluation’ principle.
