Migraine is a special type of headache. This pain starts from any side of the head. Gradually it began to expand.

Causes: The cause of migraine is still unknown. The researchers couldn’t figure it out. But it can be hereditary or due to unknown reasons. It is usually more common in women than in men. The ratio of men and women is 1:5. This disease occurs more during the periods of women. Eating or drinking too much chocolate, cheese, coffee, etc., taking birth control pills, anxiety, excessive travel, exercise, insomnia, watching TV for a long time, working on the computer for a long time, talking on mobile phones, etc. can cause this disease. Apart from this, constipation, anxiety, very bright light, mental stress accelerate this disease.

Common Symptoms of Migraine: Headache, nausea are the main symptoms of this disease. However, symptoms such as excessive yawning, loss of concentration, irritability, etc. may precede the onset of headache. This pain starts from any part of the head. Later it spread to the whole head. A feeling of pain may develop behind the eyes.

Classical Migraine Symptoms: These may include vision problems, such as a feeling of bright lights in the eyes, sudden blackouts, narrowing of the field of vision, or loss of vision on one side. These symptoms lasting 20 minutes are followed by nausea and headache, which is usually unilateral. If vision problems last more than an hour, assume it is not a migraine.

Ways to get relief: In addition to immediate and preventive medication in migraine treatment, the problem can be reduced to a great extent by following some rules. What needs to be done is to sleep at a certain time every day and it should be moderate. Do not work in excessive or low light. Avoid strong sun or severe cold. Avoid prolonged exposure to loud and noisy environments. Do not stay in front of the computer monitor and TV for a long time. At the onset of migraine, drink water (especially if vomiting occurs), rest, and wrap a cold cloth over the head.

Anti-migraine foods: Magnesium-rich rolled rice, potatoes and barley prevent migraines. Dates and figs relieve pain. Eating green, yellow and orange vegetables regularly is beneficial. Calcium and vitamin-D help prevent migraines. Sesame seeds, flour, beets, etc. contain a lot of calcium. You can mix ginger pieces, ginger juice or ginger powder with water twice a day.

Avoid: Tea, coffee and soft drinks, chocolate, ice cream, yogurt, milk, butter, tomatoes and citrus fruits. Bread, pasta etc. Apples, bananas and peanuts, extra onions. However, different foods may cause problems for individuals. It’s best to keep a diary, so you can note down which foods and environmental events make the pain worse or worse. If you keep a note like this for a week, you will find your own solution. But if the pain is more, consult a doctor.
