Home Affairs Advisor: Puja celebrations will be more peaceful this year

Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that 33,000 puja mandap will be set up across the country for the Sharidya Durgotsav this year. He said this at a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday (September 8) afternoon. The Home Affairs Advisor said that the idols will have to be immersed by 7 pm. The idols will have to be immersed in a line in Dhaka. There should be continuity in who will immerse after whom. Ansar members will be deployed 24 hours for the security of the puja mandap. In addition, 3 members of the mandap committee will be on police guard during the day and 4 members will be there at night. The advisor said that this time the puja organizing committee has not expressed any concerns. Last time the puja was celebrated peacefully. This time the puja will be celebrated more peacefully. Stating that there will be a special app system for security, the Home Advisor said that if any incident occurs, it can be reported immediately through this system. The Advisor said that drug trade should not be allowed in any way in the fair held around the Puja Mandap. The Home Advisor further warned that those who are miscreants will want to create problems everywhere and if that happens, strict action will be taken.
