High security at Secretariat, no cars being allowed to enter.
The officials and employees of Secretariat are working amidst the tight security. No car, except those belonging to advisers, secretaries and heads of organizations, is being permitted to enter the Secretariat.
The Secretariat will open on Sunday, that is the first working day of the Secretariat after recent terrible fire in Building Number 7.
Entry of officials and employees was restricted. Additional secretaries and below-level officials were leaving their cars at the entrance and entering showing their ID cards.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Home Affairs opened a separate booth on Abdul Gani Road for emergency visitors. Media workers are unable to enter the Secretariat. They are staying outside the gate.
Senior officials are entering by car through Gate No. 1. The rest are entering on foot through Gates No. 2 and 5. Only Secretariat officials and employees with smart cards are able to enter. No other type of visitor or journalist is allowed to enter.
Police said that only the secretary and advisor and officers involved in the fire investigation were not being allowed to go inside the building with their cars.
