Hezbollah and Iran are standing by Assad.

Iran and the Lebanese-based armed group Hezbollah have assured that they will stand by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. They will help the Assad government fight the armed rebels who are moving towards occupying Syria.

A senior Iranian official said on Friday that they will send missiles, drones and military advisors to Syria. This information was revealed in a report by the Middle East-based media outlet Middle East Monitor.

Earlier on Thursday, Hezbollah’s new head, Naim Qassem, declared unwavering support for the Assad government. He criticized the role of the United States and Israel, accusing them of destabilizing Syria. He said that despite recent steps, they (the rebels) will not be able to achieve their goals, and Hezbollah stands firmly with Syria to resist this aggression.

However, Qassem did not specify how Hezbollah plans to strengthen the government of President Bashar al-Assad. Historically, this Lebanese armed group has been providing important military support to Damascus.

Aleppo, Syria’s second largest city, has suddenly become heated. The city has been taken over by armed rebels. It is said that the rebels are being provided with weapons by Western countries. And Russia is helping the government of President Assad to resist them. After the city was taken over last week, tensions have been renewed in the region. According to the latest news, the rebels have taken over another important city, Hama. And Russia is continuing airstrikes with the support of the Assad government.
