Hasina-Rehana looted the country’s 11-year budget: Abul Khair

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s advisor and former MP Abul Khair Bhuiyan said, a black chapter has been written in Bangladesh for 18 years. Hasina and Rehana and their children looted the 11-year budget. Then there are their MPs, ministers and leaders. If they had not been in power by force, the country would not have fallen into this situation.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a BNP public meeting organized at Khaserhat Bazar in Raipur Upazila of Lakshmipur on Wednesday night (October 29). It was organized under the banner of Uttar Charbangshi Union BNP, its affiliates and associate organizations.
Abul Khair Bhuiyan said, ‘Hasina has announced that she will remain in power until 2041. After remaining in power until 41, she will decide how many years she will remain in power. But Hasina did not get that opportunity. The people of this country sent Hasina away on time. The blood of the people of Bengal has never been wasted. If we look from 1952 to 2024, the street movement has never failed. Those who spoke in the interest of the people, those with whom the people were, those who shed blood on the streets for the country and the people, their blood has never been in vain. Hasina and her friends will be tried under the prevailing law in this country.’
He also said, ‘There will be an election in the country before Ramadan next February. The election that we have been expecting for a long time. Khaleda Zia has been agitating with the people for a free, fair and impartial election, to protect the country’s independence and sovereignty, to establish human rights and to protect the people of the country from disappearances and murder. A false case has been filed against her while conducting this movement.’
Under the chairmanship of Uttar Charbangshi Union BNP President Faruk Ahmed Kabiraj, Raipur Upazila BNP President ZM Nazmul Islam Mithu was the main speaker. Raipur Municipality BNP President ABM Jilani, former member secretary Shafiqul Alam Almas, Raipur Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Shahriar Faisal, Advocate Khair Alam, BNP leaders Gazi Mustafa Kamal, Imam Hossain Gazi, Arif Mahmud Kabir and Shamim Gazi were present as special guests at the public meeting.
