Gunfire at bar in Mexico, 7 dead

A gunfire incident occurred in the city of Tula, Hidalgo state, Mexico. At least seven people were killed. More than five were injured. In a report, the Daily Observer reported that the attackers, who arrived in two pickup trucks, entered the bar without warning and opened fire indiscriminately. Four people died on the spot. Three more died later in hospitals in the cities of Tula and Tepeji.
The attackers quickly fled the scene after the attack. Local federal and state security forces have surrounded the scene but have not yet made any arrests. Hidalgo authorities said that the Tula region has long been known for its active criminal gangs involved in fuel smuggling. Tensions between local rival gangs have increased since the recent arrest of a cartel leader, which is believed to have played a role in the attack.
