Gunfight in Munshiganj, Hridoy Bagh killed after Mannan

A man named Hridoy Bagh, who was undergoing treatment after being shot during the murder of the controversial terrorist shooter Mannan in Gazaria, Munshiganj, has died. He died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 4:30 pm on Saturday (August 16). The deceased Hridoy Bagh (28) is the son of Habul Bagh alias Habi Ullah of Hoglakandi village in Imampur union of Gazaria upazila. It is learnt that on July 28, around 10 am, Gazaria’s top terrorist shooter Mannan was shot dead by his rival Lalu-Piyas group in Bora Kalipura area of ​​Gazaria section of Meghna River. At that time, 6 people including Hridoy Bagh were injured. Among the injured, Hridoy Bagh was in critical condition. He was undergoing treatment in the ICU. Doctors said that he had multiple bullet injuries on his body. The deceased’s wife, Sumi Akhter, claims that he was killed by his rival Lalu and people from the Nayan-Piyas group of river robbers due to a dispute over various issues including illegal sand mining and extortion in the river. According to sources at Gazaria Police Station, the deceased Mannan’s wife, Sumi Akhter, filed a murder case at Gazaria Police Station on July 29, the day after the incident. Sajedul Haque Lalu of Hoglakandi village was named as the number one accused in the case, while 16 other named and 5-6 unknown people were named as accused. Confirming the truth of the incident, Officer-in-Charge of Gazaria Police Station, Md. Anwar Alam Azad, said, “I have also received such news. The relatives of the deceased informed me about the matter.”
