    Grenade thrown at Serbian parliament

There has been a huge commotion and grenade throwing incident in the Serbian parliament. On Tuesday, there was a huge commotion between the government and opposition MPs inside the country’s parliament. At that time, the opposition MPs also threw smoke grenades and tear gas at the government MPs. This information was revealed from a report by the British media outlet BBC.

The report said that students have been protesting extensively in the country for the past four months. Farmers, laborers and all ordinary people have joined in. On Tuesday, opposition MPs threw smoke grenades in the parliament to protest on their behalf. One MP suffered a stroke there due to the horror of the incident.

Last year, 15 people were killed when the roof of the Novi Sad railway station collapsed in Serbia. After that incident, students started protests against the government, accusing it of corruption. As a result, the country’s Prime Minister Miloše Vuković was forced to resign. However, this did not dampen the movement. Now, the movement is threatening the nearly decade-long rule of President Aleksandar Vukić.

The ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) put the prime minister’s resignation and other issues on the parliament’s agenda on Tuesday. Opposition MPs rose from their seats and rushed towards the speaker and clashed with parliament security guards. Another group threw smoke grenades and tear gas. Live video broadcast on local media showed pink and black smoke billowing from inside the parliament.
