‘Government will be successful in bringing energy from alternative sources’

The government is working relentlessly to bring energy from sources other than the Middle East and the government will be successful in this regard, said State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid. He said these things in a question-and-answer session in the National Parliament today, Monday (March 30).
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs said that ensuring the security of expatriates living in the Middle East is the government’s priority. Bangladesh’s missions in those countries are working in full swing. He said that work is underway to expand Bangladesh’s market in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and African countries.
Shama Obaid said that export markets for medicines, jute and jute products and IT sector products are being created to expand trade. He expressed hope that this will increase the country’s export trade.
