‘Government institutions will come under renewable energy in 2-3 years’

Environmental Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that all government institutions will come under renewable energy in the next two to three years. She said this at a discussion on Climate Week organized by CPD at BRAC Center in the capital on Saturday (October 18) morning.
Rizwana Hasan said that adaptation strategies must be adopted to overcome the risks of climate change and environmental aspects must be taken into account.
In this seminar, stakeholders including domestic and foreign researchers and policymakers shared their experiences on what can be done to overcome the climate change crisis. The speakers also discussed increasing Bangladesh’s preparedness and capacity to deal with this crisis. In addition, the issue of increasing budget allocation and financial compensation for developed countries responsible for climate change also came up.
