Government has deceived other parties by giving importance to Jamaat-NCP: Noor
People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Noor has alleged that the interim government has deceived other parties by giving importance to Jamaat-Islami and Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP). He said that Dr. Yunus is being criticized for establishing 3 political parties today. He further commented that people’s rights have become B and C categories.
He made this comment at a publication event at the National Press Club on Wednesday (October 29) afternoon. Noor said that BNP has run the state more than once, the government can take their advice. But in which category did they establish Jamaat and NCP as three parties. Can he do this? Rather, when Sheikh Hasina harassed Dr. Yunus in the name of justice, we protested against it. Is it Junaid Saki or is our contribution to the movement less?
Calling on other political parties, he added, “With the reform agenda in mind, let us not push the country towards a new political division or crisis for nefarious motives and interests.” Noor added that the national elections should be held in January. The longer the elections are delayed, the more murky the situation for justice and reforms will become. He further commented that reforms are being purposefully taken in a different direction at this time.
